Hey! I’m Holea.

Pronounced Holly… I knew you were wondering.

It all started after I had my first baby. I walked in the front door with my new baby boy and was over the moon with energy from not being pregnant anymore. I was READY to begin regaining my strength. After my initial few weeks of healing, I began doing some walking, pelvic floor exercises, and breathing practice when my son was napping (which was a lot in the beginning). And then I began to progress into structured strength training again but something felt different. My body felt foreign to me. It felt like my brain and my body were speaking two different languages.

So I began studying. Traditional strength training wasn’t cutting it for me anymore. My old movement patterns had me STUCK in my body and created issues galore between heaviness in my pelvic floor, upper back/neck tightness, and low back discomfort. My postpartum experience illuminated all of the areas I was weak.

I had always thought of myself as strong, but I came to realize that I was never truly connected to my body. And THAT is a huge difference.

This is why I am so passionate about supporting women in connecting with their bodies and themselves through strength training. I find movement to be such a powerful tool in reconnecting to our bodies again by simply sticking to the basics but doing them with better intent. Paying attention to where you feel things in your body. Tension. Tightness. Instability. The subtle differences between sides.

It’s ALL information.

And when you finally learn to listen to those small bits of information, you can take an ordinary workout and turn it into an extremely effective and intuitive training session giving your body exactly what it needs that day.

After my second baby, I was excited to take another go at this whole recovery thing with my newfound knowledge. It was an empowering experience to finally feel like I understood what my body needed.

The kicker this time though was that life with two littles is busy. Very busy. Layer in working full time from home with them? LOL. Goodbye quiet time. Goodbye uninterrupted workouts. Goodbye sleep.

My inner perfectionist defaulted to no workouts for some time because “if I couldn’t do it all, it couldn’t possibly be worth it”. But it was. Those few set here and there added up. I decided that my body deserved to feel good so I learned to adapt and be ok with shorter workouts (I’m talking like 15 minutes) because that was all I had the capacity for. And guess what. My consistency skyrocketed. My strength began to blossom again. The connection was back. I was lifting weights I hadn’t touched since before I got pregnant with my first.

All by learning to meet myself where I was at and being really intentional about my movement.

This is what I am here to support you with. I am on a mission to connect women to their strongest life, one workout at a time. Workouts don’t have to be complicated, lengthy, or intense to be effective. Simple works. The basics work. It comes down to the intent behind the movement. And that’s what I’m here to teach you.
